Enjoy the sights and sounds of the wonderful English countryside and historic attractions on your short break in Kent.

Day 1 - Leeds Castle

About half a mile from Ash Cottage, this picturesque castle is set on two islands on the River Len. It has been home to lords and ladies for over 1000 years, and offers an eclectic mix of period architecture and family treasures waiting to be discovered.

Day 2 - Biddenden Vineyards and Tenterden High St.

Enjoy a morning in Biddenden Vineyards, and then head to Tenterden for antiques, jewellery, furniture and gift shopping. Relax in one of the many restaurants, pubs or bistros then take the steam train to the romantic ruins of Bodium Castle.

Day 3 - Great Dixter and Rye

Visit Great DIxter at Northiam, known as the ultimate English garden. Then journey to the ancient port of Rye, a haven of medieval and Georgian architecture with cobbled streets, fudge shops and harbour. Pop over to Camber Sands, where the classic film The Longest Day was shot.

Day 4 - Chilham and Canterbury Cathedral

Chilham is a short drive away, where you can find coopers selling unusual barrel furniture, glass & iron work, garden accessories and delicious homemade treats such as cakes, jams and pickles. Visit the animal sanctuary and then head over to historic Canterbury for the ancient castle walls, quirky shops and the Cathedral.

Day 5 - Aspinall Animal Park at Port Lympne

Visit John Aspinall's famous animal park where you can find gorillas, big cats, elephants, wolves and much more. Set over 600 acres, this park boasts the largest herd of Black Rhino outside Africa.

Day 6 - Dover Castle and the White Cliffs

Journey to Dover Castle and step back in time to the communications hub of the Second World War. Enjoy a relaxing, sight-seeing boat trip around the harbour.

Day 7 - Chatham Dockyard and Rochester

Immerse yourselves in naval history at the historic dockyard. Explore Napoleonic era tunnels at Fort Amhurst and then take a short trip to Rochester. Enjoy a leisurely meal in one of the many restaurants, visit the Guild Hall, Rochester Castle and Rochester Cathedral and explore the banks of the River Medway.
